From well preserved sites, historical societies and museums, to lesser known locations and key individuals that are credited with contributing to the movement, the Freedom Journey App honors the interconnectedness of these spaces with the intrepid spirits, who with fortitude and resolve, followed the North Star toward the Ohio River and beyond in search of refuge and liberty.

Engage with this region’s unique history and distinct UGRR sites. Here, you’ll find deeper connection through enriching, accessible content, with supporting visuals and summaries for sites and key individuals.
